Otter Adventures is a small, friendly business offering bespoke adventures in a stunning part of the West Coast of Scotland off the main tourist trail. Based in Strontian, overlooking the head of loch Sunart, we are in a perfect location to introduce beginners to paddle sports, develop skills and confidence on land or water and, through our local knowledge, take you to places few people have seen.
Surrounded by wild mountains, rocky shorelines and ancient oak woodland we have a diversity of wildlife that we always hope to find on our adventures, including the elusive otters. Whether you choose open canoe, sea kayak, and bike or prefer to keep your feet on land, we should be able to find something exciting to watch and photograph.
As well as bespoke adventures (one day or longer), we currently offer half-day taster sessions and full-day journeys in all activities throughout the summer. There are also multi-day trips, with accommodation, that are new for 2020 – open canoe and sea kayak holidays as well as weekend wild canoe camping adventures aimed at families and small groups of friends wanting to immerse themselves in nature.
Our aim is to get you outdoors and learning something about the activity and the local environment and wildlife. In doing so, we create memories that will last a lifetime.
